BCL leader found hanged in Madaripur

The body of a Bangladesh Chhatra League leader has been found hanged at a construction site in the district town of Madaripur, Agencies report.

The deceased, Limon Mazumdar, was the vice president of the Madaripur District Chhatra League.

The body was found at 9:30 am on Monday on the second floor of a building under construction behind the Bhuiyan Community Centre in the Badamtala area of the town, said Madaripur Sadar Police OC Kamrul Hassan.

A towel was wrapped around the neck, he said.

“The incident is being investigated. We have nothing to say at this point.”

The body has been sent to the Madaripur Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
