BSF guns down BD national in Jhenaidah

Border Security Force (BSF) of India shot a Bangladeshi man dead in Indian Territory which is located on opposite side of Maheshpur Upazila of Jhenaidah district on Friday, Agencies report.

The deceased—identified as Suman Hossain, 25, son of Abdul Mannan—was a resident of Shyamkur West Para village under Maheshpur Upazila of the district.

Suman intruded into Indian side to fetch cattle at dawn, but he was spotted by BSF members of Pakhiura Camp while returning. They shot him dead. His body is now in police custody at Hanskhali village under Nadia district of the West Bengal, India, Jhenaidah Maheshpur BGB-58 Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Qamrul Ahsan told this correspondent.
