Extend all-out support to train crash victims: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday directed the local administration and public representatives to extend all-out support to the victims of the Brahmanbaria train crash, Agencies report.

She also expressed deep shock and sorrow at the loss of lives and injuries to many passengers in the accident.

The Premier expressed sympathy to the bereaved families and prayed for salvation of the departed souls.

Sheikh Hasina also prayed for the quick recovery of those injured in the accident.

At least 16 passengers were killed and many others injured as two intercity trains collided in Kasba upazila of Brahmanbaria early Tuesday.

Chattogram-bound Udayan Express from Sylhet collided with Dhaka-bound Turna Nishita from Chattogram at Mondobhag Railway Station around 3am.
