Football camp for young girls held in Dhaka

A football camp for young girls was held on Friday at Fortis Sports Ground here, UNB reports.

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) and K-Sports jointly organised the camp for the young female booters as part of the campaign to promote Bangamata U-19 Women’s International Gold Cup as well as celebrating Women’s Football Day 2019.  

The girls met former Colombian women football star Jessica Hurtado and Colombian national team player Castro Munoz. 

BFF president Kazi Md Salahuddin and women football committee chairman Mahfuza Akter Kiron were present there as special guests. 

Besides, BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag, CEO of K-Sports Fahad MA Karim, Technical and Strategic Director Paul Smalley, Brand Ambassador of Bangamata u-19 Gold Cup Jaya Ahsan and other officials were present.  

The football camp, including some training sessions and exhibition matches, kicked off at 9 am and ended with prize giving ceremony around 4:30 pm. A total of 53 national team and 37 BKSP women booters joined the camp.
