Now, a counter-general diary has been filed against former officer-in-charge (OC) of Sonagazi Model Police Station Moazzem Hossain over the leakage of a video footage recording the testimony of madrasa girl Nusrat Jahan Rafi from his personal mobile phone, UNB reports.
Atiar Hawlader Sajal, a reporter of Somoy TV engaged in its Feni bureau office, lodged the GD with Sadar Model Police Station on Thursday afternoon after he came to know about another GD filed against him by Moazzem on April 14, four days after his withdrawal.
The OC filed the GD accusing the reporter of stealing information from his personal mobile phone.
He had claimed that Atiar stole the video of Nusrat’s testimony from his phone to socially harass him.
Meanwhile, in his GD, Atiar alleged that Moazzem himself had sent the video to Atiar on April 8 to prove that Nusrat had a tendency to commit suicide before the arson attack.
The OC was withdrawn and attached to the Armed Police Battalion (APBn) on April 10 as Nusrat’s family members alleged that they were not getting proper cooperation from him.
On April 6, Nusrat was set afire allegedly by students loyal to principal Sirajuddoula of Sonagazi Islamia Fazil Madrasa after he was arrested and subsequently suspended as she had accused him of sexually harassing her.
The madrasa girl succumbed to her injuries at the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital on April 10.
