Student dies in Rangamati crash

 A college student was killed and three others injured after a truck ran over a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Kawkhali upazila of Rangamati, Agencies report.

The accident happened on Rangamati-Chattogram highway around 11 am on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Echinsing Marma, 20. She was a 1st year student of Rangamati Government College.

According to locals, a truck smashed an auto-rickshaw coming from the rear direction, injuring 4 of its passengers. Locals took them to Rangamati Sadar Hospital, but pronounced a college student dead.

Hasan Uddin, sub inspector of Kawkhali police station, told Banglanws: “Though the truck was seized, but the driver fled. A case will be filed.”
